Product Description

             Power transformers are essential equipment for power transmission and distribution, and for power user distribution. Test transformers are used to perform withstand voltage (boost) tests on electrical equipment. Instrument transformers are used for electrical measurement and relay protection in power distribution systems (PT, CT). Special purpose transformers include electric furnace for smelting, welding transformers, rectifying transformers for electrolysis, and small adjustable transformers. Power transformers are stationary electrical devices used to convert one value of voltage (current) into another or several different values of voltage (current) with the same frequency. When the primary winding is supplied with alternating current, it generates changing magnetic flux, which, through the magnetic conduction of the iron core, induces an alternating electromotive force in the secondary winding. The magnitude of the secondary electromotive force is related to the number of turns in the primary and secondary windings, i.e., the voltage is proportional to the number of turns. Rated is a conventional value of power, expressed in kVA or MVA, which is used to determine the rated current that does not exceed the temperature rise limit under conditions when the transformer is subjected to rated voltage.
